Recently someone said, "You should publish some of the work you have done in ministry over the years." The thought immediately came over me that I really haven't done anything. I can only thank many great theologians that have paved the way. However, I gave it some thought and said to myself,

"Self, I said, "Yes - Why Not?" So a journey began.

It never occurred to me that the sermons I have in my records may be of interest to others – and those Bible studies I wrote – Why not? Several things have come to mind as this work has began:

1. I had no idea how much I didn't know until I began to bring this all together.

2. What I had worked hours over some years ago is now quite dated.

3. The 1500 or so books that used to line my study shelf are no longer there.

4. Advances in cyber technologically has made research so much easier – therefore making my once difficult to understand studies easier to illustrate by way of the WWW.

5. Most of all ~ I found out how much I didn't and don't know about the Bible!

So, taking the bad and mixing it with the good, I have come up with a page which you may, or may not, (depending on your perspective) find interesting. It is my hope that what I have done here will lead you to a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. If you have no relationship with Him, you wouldn't be here to begin with. Part 1

You will find that I religiously stick mostly to the King James Version (The Only Authorized Version) of the Bible. It might be well for me to explain my preferenc. Much of it stems for my enjoyment of the Scofield Reference Edition. But, even though many may be turned away at that, I have found that most of the references and the index stands the test of time. It does so in my mind. Also, since childhood I've always had one. I've had and used others as well – indeed, in my library at one time I had a total of 16 different versions – all up there in a need row. I have used the NIV to some extent. However, while an early teen age boy I memorized much of the New Testament from the King James. When I sit in church and hear the Scriptures read the sound of these memorized verses come flowing back like a flood. When it sounds strange to me it isn't the King James. I have never figured out if this was a handicap or an advantage. I have always thought of it in this way: "If you've ever read Shakespeare you know it when you hear it. If someone was to come out with a translated in a New English Version it simply wouldn't sound right. It wouldn't be near as enjoyable. Its poetry is its draw. Our imagination are drawn by the flow of the words. A fake copy wouldn't sell. I trust that you will forgive me for this shortcoming and come along as we study together God's Word – in any version or language. God bless you is my prayer! – Bob Craig
