— written by ron & carolyn sackett
We wish to send warm greetings to everyone. We have had an
exciting, busy, and even sometimes difficult year. It is wonderful to be
looking forward to Christmas.
Eric and Beth are both working on their Master's degree. They plan
to be done at the end of 2005. Beth has tennis elbow and golfer's elbow in
her right arm. She has been under a doctor's care and taking therapy. Still,
they are enjoying life.
Liz is very happy. She met a wonderful man, Mike Schust, at work.
They have just become engaged. They plan to be married on Friday, July 8,
2005 on the island of St. Lucia, in the Carribean. There will be a reception
in Michigan on Saturday, July 23, 2005. We are all looking forward to the
wedding.
Matt, Ellen, Michael, and Evan are almost ready to move into their
new home. Their lovely home is to be finished by the middle of December.
It was such a blessing that their home sold so quickly in May. Ever since
they have been living was us. Michael is 4 years old. He enjoys preschool
two mornings a week and Awana cubbies, at church, on Wednesday
evenings. Evan is 2 years old and growing up fast. He enjoys a playgroup
once a week.
Errol and Christy were married at the end of May. It was a beautiful
wedding. They enjoyed Hawaii for their honeymoon. Errol and Christy are
living with us for the time being. Christy is working on her Bachelor's
degree in business at Eastern Michigan University along with a full time job
Errol started a new job recently with Metaldyne.
Ron and Carolyn are healthy. Ron has been working afternoons or
midnights. Ron changes shifts quite often making our life a little
challenging. I retired from working at Britton School in June. I am
babysitting my grandsons, Michael and Evan. I really enjoy it.
Dad and Mom Craig celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in
August with a surprise party. It was very nice. Thank you to those who
shared in the celebration. Dad and Mom have some health issues but are
following doctor's orders and doing okay.
We are looking forward to sharing God's son, Jesus' birthday by
worshipping God, going to church, and being with family for Christmas.
Peace Be With You,
The Samuel Ward & Helen Elizabeth [SCHIMMOLLER] Craig Family ~ December 2002 — written by ron & carolyn sackett To those we want to share, We want to share the joys and blessings of
the year with you. We have a lot of the
preparations for Christmas well underway. We
started buying gifts in the summer. We found
that starting early helps to alleviate the
stress. It is fun when our family gets together
to make and share cookies. And then there are
the Christmas programs to help us to reflect
on Christ's birth. Matt and Ellen received a precious bundle
at the birth of their second child, Evan
Matthew Furtney, on November 14 at 8:23
p.m.! He was 9 pounds and 4 ounces and 22
inches long. He is an alert and happy boy.
Matt's Mom, Liz, Carolyn's Mom (Helen) along
Liz and Shane (Liz's boyfriend) have been
dating for over one year. Shane became a
journeyman electrician this year. Liz will
become a journeyman millwright within a month.
Liz works a lot of hours for Ford Motor
Company at the Rawsonville Plant. Liz and
Shane took a class in scuba diving and became
certified. They went to Honduras with their
class, in September, and had a great time
diving and exploring the reefs. Eric and Beth are working hard at
Dearborn Ford Motor Company and Visteon
Climate and Control Division respectfully. They
are also taking Master classes in engineering
management. They took a trip, last May, for
their 4th wedding anniversary. They enjoyed
themselves at Mammoth Cave in Kentucky.
They had to put a new roof on their house. It
looks great and does not leak. They are both
enjoying life. Errol and Christy have announced their engement and are planning their wedding between May and June of 2004. They have been
dating for over 2 years. They are both in
college. Errol will graduate in April with a
Bachelor of Arts degree in Management. Errol
would like to get a job with Ford or Visteon
but he is not sure that it will happen right
away. He is still working at Heath Farms. He
earned his CDL (Commercial Drivers License) to
be able to truck grain to market. The job
works well around his schooling. Christy is going
to Jackson Community College and has
transferred to Washtenaw Community College
for next semester. She has a good job as a
secretary in a school office. Errol and Christy
took a trip last summer and visited friends and
relatives in Missouri (St. James and Branson),
Louisiana, Georgia, the Carolinas, and Ohio.
They are both busy but doing well. Ron and Carolyn are enjoying life. They
celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary with
a wonderful dinner that their children prepared
for a large group of friends and family. Ellen
made an exact duplicate of their wedding cake!
Ron is working at Rawsonville Visteon Plant for
his 32nd year. He is active in church as
Deacon, Awana Commander, and helping as
needed. Ron is always improving our home with
We are looking forward to the holidays. It
is fun to remember Christ's birth with gifts
and special treats. It is also special to share
in Church activities and family gatherings. We
pray that your Christmastime is not stressful,
but is a fun time to remember Jesus Christ's
birth. Sending God's Blessings to All, Ron & Carolyn

with Matt got to witness the delivery.
November 14 is also Carolyn's sister's
birthday and the anniversary of day that Ron's
Dad was welcomed into Heaven. Evan's older
brother, Michael, loves him. Michael has grown
a lot this year. He turned 2 years old in
August. He is very active and intelligent. Matt
is co-chairman of the Veterans' committee,
and they do a lot of charity work for the
community. He works for Ford Motor Company.
Ellen works for Visteon Corporation. She is
taking time off work until the middle of
February. Matt and Ellen went to the Bahamas
in July for their 3rd wedding anniversary.

the many projects that he has going. Carolyn is
still working at Britton Macon School. She is
busy at church with several activities. She
enjoys babysitting Michael, but she has not
had him every day since Ellen went on
maternity leave. Ron and Carolyn along with
the family took our regular trip to the Craig
Reunion in Pennsylvania in July. We also
enjoyed Niagara Falls on our way to
Pennsylvania. Carolyn's parents are doing well
and enjoying life.
