Linda Chesson Ferguson I have very happy memories of my years at Old Ford. We had great teachers starting with Mrs. Kathleen Kopp, and ending with Mr. Sam Grist. I remember recess as a fun time when we would jump rope, play ball. swing and really enjoy playing together.
After graduation, in 1960, Butch Ferguson and I got married. We have two sons and now are blessed with three grandsons. We lived in Washington until 1984. Then we moved to Virginia. When our sons were in Jr. High School, I went to ECU and graduated with a BS degree in Early Childhood. I taught school in NC and later in VA when we moved.
I have always loved to sing and have always enjoyed being a part of the church choir. In 1992.1 joined the Richmond Encore Ladies Chorus where we sang four part harmony. We won the first place for small choruses for the Eastern Region (covers seven states). This entitled us to compete on the national level. So we went to St. Louis to represent our Region. It was a lot of fun and great experience and I sang with the chorus for six years.
Linda and Butch Ferguson on 40th Anniversary!! Congratulations from us!!
