In 1978 I was hired by Southern Piping Company, Wilson, as Air Conditioning Department Maintenance Manager. We had customers throughout eastern NC including Raleigh. In 1979 I was hired by Northern Telecom, Momsville, NC, as Facility Plant Engineering Manager. I worked in the Northern Telecom facility located next to Raleigh Dinner Theatre, Ward Transformer and RDU airport (Ward Transformer hired the company that sprayed PVC's on the side roads in eastern NC). In 1981 I was hired as Facility Plant Engineering Manager for the Scientific Atlanta six's facilities, located in Norcross, Ga. My daughter Janna Hammond Rawls was bom and she was a beautiful Georgia peach. In 1987 I was hired as Plant Engineering Facilities Manager for WECK, Division of Squibb, RTP, NC. During the sixteen years at WECK, I also supported facilities in Chicago IL, St Louis MO, Los Angeles CA, Irvington NJ, Philadelphia PA and Naples FL with Maintenance, Safety, Environmental and Security programs. In October 2002,1 left WECK and have been looking for job and reviewing investment opportunities.
