Amelia Beacham Davidson Hi Hugh This is just a few things I Remember. In the 1st grade when the nurse come to give shots, I tried to tell Mrs. Kopp that I hadn't had the small pox shot. No one would listen. So I never had a small pox shot. Also in the 1st grade, the bus left me because I was watching a baseball game. Mr. Goskill took me home after the game and explained to my Mom so I wouldn't get a spanking. I still love baseball today. In about the 3rd grade, the Bell twins Gene and George tried to take a swing away from me and I fought them both off and kept my swing. On the night of Commencement when Lavern Hansen was getting ready to go, I told Mr. Hansen that he had skipped school and had gone to the mill pond. Mr. Hansen didn't do anything to him, but when he got to school that night, he told Mr. Grist and Laverne got a good paddling the next day of school. Needless to say Laverne was mad at mell. Sorry I don't have any pictures. All my pictures were lost in Hurricane Floyd. I was married to William Davidson on May 16,1960. We have been married for 43 years. We don't have any children. I worked at Hamilton Beach for 32 years as a supervisor until they closed. I currently work at Couer, Inc. I hove been employed there for three years. We make syringes that are used in heart catheterizations. PS - If you could get Mr. Gaskill talking about sports, you didn't study math that day! I also remember seeing some of the older guys jumping out of Mrs.McKeels 5th grade class windows and skipping school. During the sixteen years at WECK, I also supported facilities in Chicago IL, St Louis MO, Los Angeles CA, Irvington NJ, Philadelphia PA and Naples FL with Maintenance, Safety, Environmental and Security programs. In October 2002,1 left WECK and have been looking for job and reviewing investment opportunities.
