Exercising mind may keep people sharp, alive longer About an Article in Daily Press, NPN, VA,by Mike Morris August 9, 2003 Today, Glenda came running into the study and exclaimed, "See! I told you there was a method to my ' Shopping!' (She really loves to shop ~ Seldom buys anything . .?:-) In her hand was Page D 10 of todays newspaper. It seems they were doing a book review on, "Keep your Brain Young," written by two Doctors, Guy McKabann, MD, & Marilyn Albert, Ph. D. It is purported to be, "The Complete Guide to Physical and Emotional Health and Longevity." Glenda's excitement was over the 1st paragraph: "Guy McKhann and Marilyn Albert, two of the world's leading experts on brain research, have a theory why women tend to live longer than men: They shop more!" I became a bit skeptical though when I came across another paragraph where it described a 10 year research program involving aged senior citizens. Notice in the IMAGE below how she has highlighted what she wanted me to notice most about the article.
