Think BIG ... Think God
"For the Lord your God is God of gods,Hidden from the comprehension of our
and Lord of lords, a great God, a
mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth
not persons, nor taketh reward:"
Deuteronomy 10:17
contemporaries is the living, loving,
and liberal God. To them He is a
dead abstraction of the religious
mentality... but to those who
know and love Him, He is big
and real. He operated in the realm
of the superlative. God's ways
and thoughts stagger the imagination!
God is not small! When He wants to
do something... he is unsurpassed.
"When He makes an ocean, no man
can fathom it. When He makes a
mountain, no man can measure or
scale it. When He makes flowers
there are no duplications among the
billions of them."
God is not cheap! When He feeds
5,000 men there are 12 baskets
left over. When he receives the
prodigal son there is a "fatted
calf" and the "best robe."
When He prepares a land for His
children, it "floweth with milk
and honey." The rainbow for
Noah... the tabernacle of Sinai...
the manna in the wilderness...
all show His lavish care and concern."Thanks be unto God for His
unspeakable gift" II Corinthians 9:15
God is not restricted! His peace is
like a river and passes all human
understanding. His joy is unspeakable.
His supply is without limit, and He
giveth, giveth, and giveth again.
"His grace has no sides or bottom,
and top has been left off." His wisdom...
unsearchable! His strength... unexcelled.
His salvation... unfathomable!
God is not second rate! By no stretch
of the imagination could even
Cecil B. DeMille come up with
the Walls of Jericho tumbling down;
the utterly miraculous account of
the crossing of the Red Sea by one
million fleeing Jews; the seven times
hotter fire story of Daniel chapter
three, the incredible journey of Jonah
for three days in the belly of a great
fish; and to top them all... the
resurrection of Jesus Christ from the
Roman's sealed tomb!
God is not partial! "He is not willing
that any should perish." He loves the
entire world. He came to call sinners,
not the righteous, to repentance. He
cares for the outcast... the dirty...
the poor... the self-righteous...
"the red and yellow, black, and white;
all are precious in His sight!"
